December Gifted Gorgeousness Link-Up Post

Welcome to the December Gifted Gorgeousness link-up. The link-up date continues to be the 15th and I will keep the link-up open until the end of each month so you have plenty of time if you are late posting.

The format remains exactly the same, there is a list of rules on the main sign-up page if you want to check what is required but basically anything connected to the word "gift" is allowed, whether it was a gift TO you or is a gift FROM you.

My main gifted project is my Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow which is my focus project for the year.  I've been working away on Block 9 recently.  I only did one week this month because I have two other projects to work on according to my WIPGO Board.

I went from here:

to here:

stitched over one on 25 count Cassia Rose evenweave from Chromatic Alchemy

The fill-in does take a long time!  Fortunately, the whole block is not full coverage, just the coffins.

This was my Dark 13 project where I stitch for one day on the 13th of each month.  It's by Mani di Donna and is going to be a Halloween Sewing Basket:

stitched on 32 count grey linen

I've got some non-stitched Gifted Gorgeousness to share with you too.  I recently made a papercraft photo album for a friend and enjoyed the process so much I wanted to make another one.  The first name that came to mind was a dear French friend who always makes me beautiful crafted gifts.

Here are a few photos of the pages:

Speaking of my dear French friend, here are the latest creations she sent me:

Four lovely felted cup ornaments with an initial for each member of my family.  These will be going on my Ornament Garland very soon.

The gifted ornaments cluster down one end of the garland:

Except for Gracie's angel who is close to my ceramic angels:

Now it is your turn to show us your Gifted Gorgeousness for the month.  Please use your name or your blog name in the field and NOT the words "December Update" so I can easily see who has linked up this month.  And link to the actual post, not just your blog.  It is easier if you copy and paste the link, rather than typing freehand.

.Finally, there will be a Gifted Gorgeousness SAL next year, of course there will!  The 15th wouldn't be the same without it.  The sign-up page and new logo will go up as soon as I get round to creating them!

Thanks to everyone who joined in this year.

So much gifted sweetness here. Those personalized cup ornaments will look lovely on the ornament garland. The blue photo album is truly gorgeous! I imagine the recipient will be tickled pink...or make that tickled blue. LOL Happy stitching! -Andrea

What a lovely display of gifts! Hawk Run is really coming along (I know that full coverage takes so much time, it looks great!) What an awesome gift for your friend of the paper craft! It looks amazing! Isn't it fun to arrange all our gifted ornaments, it's a walk down memory lane for sure! I cherish all my hand made gifts! Those coffee cups are darling! Have a Wonderful Christmas and all the best in the coming New Year!

Glad to know you liked your cappuccino cups, I thought I could add some coffee beans or spices inside but the doubt won out. My album is amazing, I take it every day to watch all the clever paper work. Thanks to you for the GG event and to the stitchers who share their lovely stitchings. xxx
