(Just realised I am a whole week early!)

This year my Smalls have been the Stoney Creek 12 Days of Christmas 2019 Ornament series.  I finished the final three earlier this month and here they all are:

I also made a little slideshow so you can see each one:

The plan is to make a concertina book ready for next Christmas.  I'll also be starting another 12 Days series on Boxing Day.  Starting one Day per day and then finishing them one per month next year.

At the start of the month I completed another year long small project, the calendar designed by Tiny Modernist which was a cover gift from Cross Stitcher magazine.  

I stitched one month per month and here they all are:

The plan for this one is to frame it and get a little calendar tag so I can use it as a calendar each year.

That's it for stitching this month but I do have photos of my stitched smalls on my Christmas garland.  Some were made by me and others by stitchy friends:

November Smalls

This year my Smalls will be the Stoney Creek 12 Days of Christmas 2019 Ornament series.  I have nearly finished Day 10, just the beads to add and stitched about half of Day 12.  I have decided to stitch the final 2 days together, colour by colour and add beads to all three at once.  This will save a little time!

A slightly larger "small" was the third in the C part of the Scary Apothecary series from Hands on Design.  This is Coffin Paint:

stitched on 28 count Radioactive Linen from Chromatic Alchemy

I used all the recommended DMC for this one except for the paintbrushes where I used a lovely DMC Satin thread, the equivalent of 321.  Much easier to do satin stitch in satin thread than in metallics.  I am rather tempted to redo the bottles in Bitter Brew with this thread as the metallic warped the fabric.

Finally, this is the last call for participants for my annual Advent Calendar.  I have a couple of doors left which is very unusual.  Let me know if you would like to take part this year.

I continued with The Primitive Hare Celebrations series, stitching Samhain which is the end of the Harvest and the start of the Dark Half of the year and celebrated this weekend:

September was Nine Ladies Dancing, well only one lady but she seems to be having fun:

This year my Smalls will be the Stoney Creek 12 Days of Christmas 2019 Ornament series which I started on Boxing Day 2020 for the 12 Days of Stitchmas.

July was Seven Swans A'Swimming, well only one swan actually:

I am very close to a finish so I'm saving it to show you the completed design.  It's actually stitched on white fabric, so once again the camera does indeed lie to you!

June was Six Geese A'Laying, well only one goose actually:

In May I completed my Just Nan-a-thon where I stitched on a different Just Nan Small each day.  In June I continued working on the oldest one which is Pansy Basket.

Isn't it strange how different the fabric looks each year?  Here is the completed piece ready for FFO'ing:

The filigree basket charm makes it a little lumpy to scrapbook so I am going to get a frame for this one.

Last month I completed an Autumn Lane Stitchery design for the Just Cross Stitch Ornament group and this month I've been stitching Mrs Claus to go with Santa Claus:

My second Christmas Ornament for the month comes from the Gift of Stitching magazine, the November 2010 Christmas Ornament Special.  Another 12 Days design, this time from Nancy Pederson, called First Day of Christmas:

I completed the design from last month too.   Rosewood Manor design called Quaker Diamond Noel:

🐇 Good Friday - Friday 2nd April 🐇

Finally, it's time to sign up for the Annual Easter Treasure Hunt.    If you would like to take part this year, just leave a comment here.  The week before Easter I will send you a letter of the alphabet which will form part of the mystery phrase.  On Good Friday you will post that letter along with a photo of something seasonal that you have stitched (could be Easter or Spring or just something cheerful and sunny or floral).  We all hop around like little bunnies to find the Mystery Phrase!
