Gifted Gorgeousness January Link-up Post

Our new logo for the year is a portion of Nora Corbett's Gathering Eggs design.  It was a gift from Carol of Stitching Dreams.

Please remember to change your badge and the link to the new page as the old link no longer works.  Don't forget to link up on the main sign-up page with your blog address.

Welcome to the January Gifted Gorgeousness link-up. The link-up date continues to be the 15th and I will keep the link-up open until the end of each month so you have plenty of time if you are late posting.

The format remains exactly the same, there is a list of rules on the main sign-up page if you want to check what is required but basically anything connected to the word "gift" is allowed, whether it was a gift TO you or is a gift FROM you.

Deb sent me the charts for the Stoney Creek 2019 Ornaments which were my Stitchmas project last year.  I finished the final three days in December:

stitched on 32 count Lime Green Linen

Also in December I finished the Third Day of my Bothy Threads 12 Days of Christmas, the kit was a Christmas present:

stitched on 32 count blue-grey linen

The word for 2022 is FOCUS with one project being allocated two weeks of stitching each month.  That still leaves two weeks for other WIPs and this week's design chosen by the WIPGO Board is Mirabilia's Fairy Idyll.  The chart and special threads were a gift from a blogging friend.  Here's where I was at the start of the year:

And this is my starting point for the WIPGO Weekend:

stitched on 32 count Vinyard Murano from Crafty Kitten
(top photo is more accurate for colour matching)

Now it is your turn to show us your Gifted Gorgeousness for the month.  Please use your name or your blog name in the field and NOT the words "January Update" so I can easily see who has linked up this month.  And link to the actual post, not just your blog.  It is easier if you copy and paste the link, rather than typing freehand.

Finally, I will be running the Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop on Valentine's Day.

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop

It's really very simple, all you have to do is email me a picture of something you have stitched which is suitable for a stitching friend on Valentine's Day. It could be a heart, or a pair of cute creatures, or the word "love" or anything which warms your heart. Really anything you think a fellow stitcher would like to receive in her email Inbox. It can be something you've stitched in the past or something you've made especially for this year. It could also be quilted or sewn this year as I know some of my followers do other crafts too.

Send me the email by 10th February.

When I have all the emails I will randomise them and send one to each participant on 13th February. Then on 14th February you must post the picture you receive onto your blog under the heading

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop

There will be a list on my blog of everyone joining in, so check out all the blogs and find out who got your picture and identify yourself in their comments as their

Secret Stitching Sweetheart

Does that make sense to everyone? I hope so!

If you'd like to be involved then leave a comment on this post or send me an email if you are "no-reply". I'll be putting little reminders up from time to time and will email on 9th February to make sure you send the pic in time.

Your 12 days is so lovely I've been admiring this as you stitched each design. Focus is a great word for many things not just stitching, wishing you busy needles in 2022.

I'm sure I have already said but I'd love to take part in the Secret Sweetheart Stitching Blog Hop

I always love seeing your gorgeous projects, and the lovely fabrics you stitch them on. Both 12 Day sets are beautiful.

Great 12 days stitchings, I really love the pattern of Bothy design. Thanks for this new 2022 GG year and I'd like to be in the Valentine Blog Hop. xxx

The white couching on Bothy Threads' 12 Days is very bold but works well with the darkish colours, and the gold metallic gives it just enough bling. Love the other 12 Days and the progress on your reclining lady too. All lovely gifts! :)

Your 12 Days turned out so beautiful on the green fabric, they will be a gorgeous addition to your Christmas decorations next year! Looking forward to seeing how you will finish them. Bothy 12 days is beautiful too...there's a lot of stitching in those, but they are going to be so pretty when finished too! Your Mirabilia Fairy is so detailed, what a lovely pattern!! Can't wait to see more of her. I like your word of the year, Focus. I wish I could get focused this year, but it started off like a drunken sailor...LOL! Thanks again for hosting GG again this year! Happy Stitching!

I like the idea of choosing a word for each year, but haven't done so yet. I've been thinking of one for this year and so far have come up with CONSISTENCY, GOAL ORIENTED, GIVING and ACCOMPLISHMENT. I'm not ready to commit to one though. All of your projects this month are lovely.

Such beautiful stitching on all of your gifts, Jo! The Bothy designs are truly amazing... I'm afraid all of the metallic threads would do me in, however :) Love the Stoney Creek set, too. Enjoy your week ♥

Looking very much forward to another year of gift stitching! I got some fun 'plans' but as usual I'm unsure how much I'll actually be able to cram in just 12 months, haha :D
