The People Chose Spring

This SAL is all about what you want to see on the blog. Each month I ask for suggestions for themes and then put them up to the members of the IHSW Group on FB to vote for their choice. This is what they have chosen:

March - Spring
April - Blue
May - Traditional Samplers

What an appropriate choice on the first Saturday in Spring!  I spent some time last week getting out my Spring themed stitching and putting away my Winter pieces.

Most of my Spring themed pieces have been stitched as part of a seasonal series starting with this one from a 1998 Cross Stitcher magazine:

This gorgeous Just Nan design:

Another Just Nan - Spring Typography.  Can you spot the word I changed on this one?

A third Just Nan - Spring in the Square:

Another Just Nan, simply called Spring!

And some smaller pieces too.  Spring Heart from Gazette 94:

Lizzie*Kate Spring Snippet and Snowflower Diary Tulip and Bunny:

Another Snowflower Diary - Spring Witch

A freebie from Sub Rosa - Happy Spring

Drawn Thread - Spot of Spring, must finish this series!

And of course, my most recent finish the Spring Sampler composed of motifs from The Samplermakers' Forum:

But now it's over to you.  All you have to do is make a post on the theme of Spring, mention The People's Choice SAL (you can copy the picture I used at the top of this post and in my side bar) and my blog.  Please link up using the URL of the actual blog post, not the home page of your blog.  I look forward to seeing what you all post.

🐇 Good Friday - Friday 2nd April 🐇

Finally, it's time to sign up for the Annual Easter Treasure Hunt.    If you would like to take part this year, just leave a comment here.  The week before Easter I will send you a letter of the alphabet which will form part of the mystery phrase.  On Good Friday you will post that letter along with a photo of something seasonal that you have stitched (could be Easter or Spring or just something cheerful and sunny or floral).  We all hop around like little bunnies to find the Mystery Phrase!

Here's a link to last year's hop so you can see how it all works - Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop 2020
