Anyway, I decided to use the same fabric for all four designs which is the 35 Country Mocha linen I used for the Christmas Cubes. Here is Winter:
Each chart comes with a little charm, a snowflake for Winter
And a selection of speciality stitches. The trees are Sprats Head stitches, aren't they effective?
I used my own DMC conversion, changing some of the colours to make them a shade lighter or darker to suit the fabric. And B5200, of course! I also added a little Smyrna stitch in the centre of the hollow eyelets because they looked odd being empty!
I'm waiting for Kaye to catch up and show her's now. We'll start Spring on 1st March. If either of us remember!
In the evenings I've been down in the forest with the foxes! Lots of progress on Fox Forest by The Workbasket here:
stitched on 32 count Light Khaki linen
(which is more green in real life)
Again, I am using my own DMC conversion to make it a little brighter. I have one more fox to start and finish the rather raggedy looking fox on the bottom left. The top left one looks like a corgi to me!
I finish-finished another Christmas Cube:
Because they are slightly smaller than the Hallowe'en Cubes they will actually fit in the shelf three high. Just!
Finally, I signed up for a new Challenge on Facebook - The Ten a Day challenge! Nothing to do with feminine hygiene, it's simply choose a project with approximately 3,600 stitches and stitch 10 stitches a day, you'll complete it at the end of the year. I have copied Claire and chosen Just Nan's Spring in the Square:

Good morning/evening, my dear Jo. Wonderful finish on A Spot of Winter - you will be pleased to know that I have started mine! Only a few stitches late last night but I will do more today and hopefully post a progress pic tonight. We are off to Tassie (Tasmania) early tomorrow morning for a pre-Christmas mini break with some friends, so no blogging for a few days after today. Your Christmas cubes are looking great and Fox Forest is lovely, too. I love the idea of the Ten a Day SAL, so I have sent a join request to the group as I would love to join in that bandwagon, too. Well, it is nine days into Summer in Melbourne and despite a beautiful day two days ago, this morning it is pouring rain, quite cold and I have had to put the heater on! lol! Time for a cuppa, I think, and some brekkie. xxxx
Congrats on the cute finish Jo. Your cubes look great. Nice pick for the challenge.

I love that little fox on the bottom left, I did not realize he had more to go. Your 10 a day sounds fun, but I think that would put me over the edge. It will be beautiful when finished. Looking forward to watching yours and Kaye's Spots of the Seasons.
Winter is adorable! The foxes look so good! Wow. Love those cubes!!
Congratulations on your finish, it is very pretty. I love your WIP, the foxes are super cute. The cubes turned out great!
Love your Spot of Winter finish! It looks fabulous on the country mocha linen. Nice progress on your fox piece!
The Drawn Thread winter piece is so pretty! Makes me wish I'd gotten that to go along with the fall chart I have, LOL. You are stitching up a storm right now - lots of progress on the fox sampler and another Christmas cube finished - wow!
The spot of winter is very pretty! Plus all those fox look great!
That country mocha linen is so yummy. What a lovely backdrop for such beautiful stitching and sweet designs.
Winter is a lovely finish and great progression on Fox. Beautiful choice for your new challenge.
Congrats on your finish and finished finish :) Good progress on your other project. The new Facebook challenge sounds interesting
I love Spot of Winter - how pretty! Great idea for a SAL too.
Great progress on the foxes.
The Ten a Day SAL sounds tricky. I couldn't limit myself to just 10 stitches a time. And how do you find a project that has 3600 stitches?! You're mad but it will be fun to watch this one grow.
Tena day! I just about choked on my coffee here!
I love that spot of winter and the foxes are wonderful
A sweet little finish on Winter.
The little robins look so cute!!
I like your 'Spot of Winter'. I've only stitched it on the suggested fabric.
Love the little foxes. The 10 a day challenge, you can only stitch 10 stitches a day?
Love your rendition of Spot of Winter! I really need to get back to my Spot of Autumn. :)
Winter is very beautiful!
I love the colours of the "Fox Forest", pretty progress!
The Christmas cubes are really nice!!
Hugs,
Lili
Spot of Winter is gorgeous.
I was only looking at my Seasonal JN's the other day and thinking I wonder if Jo has these lol....spooky!!
Some lovely stitching progress here. Looking fwd to Ten a day challenge.
That winter finish is really cute, and so are the foxes. Great job finishing another cube, you'll actually be done by Christmas!
I really love that Mocha Linen, it goes with everything. The Christmas cubes are looking really cool too. The JN looks like a mini Chatelaine. It's going to be stunning. Especially once it's undergone the Jo treatment.

Lovely winter piece. I love the specialty stitches. Good luck with your new SAL. I would want to do more than 10 so it wouldn't work for me. But I'll enjoy cheering you along. Fox WIP is looking fantastic. I just LOVE your Christmas cubes.
Great stitching Jo! Your 10 a day sounds interesting! You've just reminded me about my about my 10 minutes a day that I was intending to stitch soon after I starting blogging ... and I haven't touched for some time now ... must get back to that!
I look forward to seeing your progress!
Hugs, Barbara xx
Seasonal SALs are really cool, and the Drawn Thread spots are so beautiful and very interesting to stitch with all the specialty stitches involved. You made a great start with the winter spot.
I love all the little foxes in the Fox Forest. And your Spring in the Square will be a real fun project.
Great stitching! Congrats on your 'Winter' finish. I love your new Christmas cube too! :D
Beautiful stitching. And by the way, you made me sing those lyrics in my head while admiring all the pretty pictures.
Congrats on the finish it's great! I haven't done any stitching with a friend yet but it sounds fun!
