Hosted by Rachel the Ten Hour Stitcher
This SAL is designed to motivate us all to do something with that box of Finished pieces instead of just storing them under the bed. We will all be linking up on Rachel's blog on or after the 10th of each month (10 Hour Stitcher - 10th of the month).
I had a great finish planned to show you all today. I worked really hard on my Mirabilia's 25th Anniversary Cameo project and had the perfect frame for it too. I measured the finished piece and it would fit. So here is the frame:
note - 5" x 7"
note - less than 7"
note - not even 6.5"
so far too small
So instead of showing you a nice Fully Finished Framed project, let's do a recap of the year!
February - 6 scrapbook pages and a professionally framed piece
March - 4 scrapbook pages
April - 1 ornament
May - 1 scrapbook page, 1 framed picture and an ornament
June - 3 scrapbook pages
July - 1 scrapbook page and an ornament
August - 1 ornament and a scrapbook page
September - 1 framed picture
October - 1 ornament and a framed picture
November - 2 scrapbook pages and a ornament
December - nothing so far! But there are several more days to go and who knows - there could be a flurry of fully finished pieces for my January post. We can live in hope!
Finally, the Advent Calendar Blog Hop is progressing nicely, doors opening every day and favourite films being shared. Don't forget to pop back each day and see what has been shared. I'll leave you with another photo of today's finish:

The recap is a great idea and the cameo is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to recap your whole year of FFOs in this post. Now, why didn't I think of that?!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish, perfect frame, but what a shame the two don't fit. I also find it frustrating that the aperture size isn't the actual quoted frame size. Is the frame available in 8"x6"?
The FFG SAL is open for another week yet should you be able to squeeze in a finish before then. :)
Lovely recap post! Oh that's really frustrating about the frame. It would have looked perfect too in that frame.
ReplyDeleteThe cameo is beautiful - I love the background fabric - but it's so frustrating about the frame and the false advertising! I hope you can find another one in a similar style! I love the idea of this SAL and hoped to join in this year, but it just didn't happen. Maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a productive year. Very irritating about the frame. The beading on the interior is very pretty, but could you mount the cameo and attach on top of the beading detail? It looks good in my head but probably doesn't translate well in real life. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat year recap and the cameo is amazing! xxx
ReplyDeleteAw, shucks, and your finished stitching is so pretty, too! Seems like they use the term 'approximate' very loosely these days.
ReplyDeleteOh how frustrating! But a beautiful finish! What a great round-up of the year x
ReplyDeleteAargh! What a shame about the frame!
ReplyDeleteNice to see your round up of the year, I was thinking about doing something like this on my blog too ...... one of those posts I’ve “written” in my head in the wee small hours!
Hugs,
Barbara xx
Well shoot, that would have been the perfect frame for your beautifully stitched piece!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great year of finishes, bring on 2020.
