My planned rotation is 1 week on Chatelaine, 2 weeks on Discworld and the rest of the time on Christmas, Hallowe'en and a "19 in '19" project.
Here's the February Pie:
Because of work and February being only 28 days long I didn't quite get the full 14 days stitching on Discworld but I did reach my target.
Here's where is was at the start of the month:
And here's where it is now:
I completed the whole of the banner, the second heraldic hippo and the top part of the country XXXX. All backstitched too.
stitched on 32 count Murano custom dyed by Sparklies
You'll notice that I finished the banner despite running out of that shade of pink last month. When I ordered the threads for this project I ordered the darker pink not the lighter. So that skein accounts for my entire Stitch from Stash spend this month!
February | |
1 skein DMC | £0.95 |
Total | £0.95 |
Yes, that is what we pay for a skein at our LWS (Local Wool Shop) who luckily sell DMC as well as wool.
Finally, I made nice progress on my current Just Nan small; Fairy Roses. Added another colour to the roses, 3 lighter shades to go:
stitched on 32 count Antique White linen
For it being a shorter month you sure got a beautiful amount done. The mappe really moved along. The Just Nan looks gorgeous. Hopefully March will feel just right and you will get even more done.
ReplyDeleteoh gosh, that Disc World gets better and better every time you share your progress!!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on both Jo.

The Disc World is really moving along Jo. And it looks great. Love your little Nan stitch..so pretty. Love how organized you are . Have a great weekend. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting to the corner of the Disc World Mappe and completing the amount you wanted to. Thank goodness this was the only short month; those 2-3 fewer days really make a difference. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for the second hippo, finding the corner, and Fourecks, which was a fun Rincewind. Are you going to do the backstitched lettering in the banner soon or wait for a more finished product? $1.25 for a skein of DMC! Here I was scandalized when it went up to 56¢ (£0.42) recently.
ReplyDeleteThe Just Nan has a pink acorn in the center!
don't get me started on the price of threads in this country!!
ReplyDeleteDiscworld is looking stunning.
You got some stitching done!!! Looks great.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress for February, another cute hippo AND backstitching too!
ReplyDeleteYour Fairy Roses are looking good as well.
February's like that! You got as lot one though.
ReplyDeleteOooh, great progress! I love that face on the second heraldic hippo, it's so cute.
ReplyDeleteI *so* feel you on the price of DMC - US people just don't know our suffering. I can't even get it anywhere locally because all the stores only carry Anchor.
