I'll show the Pie first and then go through the various designs.
I used the Tiny Decisions app to choose which piece I was going to work on each day. Nora Corbett's Raven got a lot of love.
Here's where she was at the start of the month:
And here's where she is now:
stitched on 32 count Nebula by Crafty Kitten
A similar success story for Just Nan's Autumn Mouse House. From here:
To here:
Plum Street Sampler's Brew Ha Ha became a finish:
stitched over 1 on 32 count Platinum linen
As did JBW's Smiling Jack-O-Lanterns:
stitched on 32 count Platinum linen
AND Jardin Prive's Happy Hallowe'en Night:
stitched on 32 count Cognac linen
I even managed to get half a gate stitched on my Lavender & Lace conversion of Enchanted Alphabet. Can you tell where the gate came from?
I have a lot to report for my Stitch from Stash update too. Fortunately, it all comes under the heading of Birthday Money. I made a delayed trip to a needlecraft shop in Great Yarmouth with a friend who works in a school. So it had to be during half term! I use this needlecraft shop to order the Just Nan charts but this was the first time I'd actually visited. We were there so long, the owner made us a cup of coffee each! Here's my haul:
a nice offcut from a piece of Polstitches fabric
2 charts, both seasonal.
All 4 Indigo Rose Seasonal Samplers.
I stitched part of the Autumn one for a Round Robin a few years back
The Just Nans from last month!
October | |
Cross Stitcher sub | £8.72 |
Kingsland chart | £2.65 |
JABCO Autumn | £6.99 |
Indigo Rose x 4 seasons | £23.96 |
Polstitches fabric | £7.50 |
Total | £49.82 |
Finally, I shot a little video of some of my Hallowe'en display. Hope you are able to upload and view it OK.
I had to laugh at the owner serving you coffee as you were there so long. They'd have to serve me a jumbo cappuccino with 4 sugars ha ha. Love your video too, it's great to see them all together. The boxes are my fav, esp Drac in the Box he is too wicked. You've had a really good month. Good job stunner

Nice haul at the Needlework Shop!
ReplyDeleteJo, I find the Kingsland Seasonal Quilts, Winter chart very interesting. It the quilt placed on top? It seems 3D.
ReplyDeleteA successful month of stitching. How lovely to be able to visit a needlework shop.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great month, stitching, finishing and haul wise! The Tiny Decisions app seems to be working well for you. Are you going to continue using it, or was it just for Dark October? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great month of stitching! I think my favourite is the Happy Hallowe'en Night piece, it's lovely :)
ReplyDeleteYour video is great, Jo, thanks for sharing it with us. Your Dark month went very well - lots and lots of lovely, spooky Hallowe'en Stitching.

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff from the bricks and mortar shop.
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely projects to see again in your video.
Raven should get a lot of love, she's going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on Autumn House, I still have yet to make one of those.
And three finishes? Yay! I don't think I have a favourite, I love them all.
How nice that you were able to visit the shop in Great Yarmouth, that's a fantastic birthday haul you purchased!
I loved seeing your projects, I was able to see the video.
Wow lots of beautiful progress this month. Great job! Great new stash too. Can't wait to see what stitching November brings you.
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching projects, Jo.
ReplyDeleteSo nice for you that you managed to get to a great needlecraft store and to stock up on some items for your stash. I love that fabric you bought, it looks awesome.
Great progress this month! Raven continue to be gorgeous, and you had so many finishes, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd then a great shopping trip to top things off - congratulations on finding the Indigo Rose Seasons, I had a hard time finding them all on ebay.
A great selection of items from the store, and a fantastic stitching month. Not a clue where your gate is from however! x
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your pie this month and hooray for new stash! What is an "offcut" piece? Just a random end of irregular size?
ReplyDeleteI was able watch your Halloween video! Great little collection there and great framing on the zodiac too
