What a fun hop this year. I actually had to google the mystery phrase - as I wasn't familiar with it. Mystery Phrase: "Fillet of a Fenny Snake." Love your stitching. Thanks for hosting.
The spooky phrase sprang to mind straight away being from a play I've taught at school but it was fun to visit all the blogs to see everyone's spooky craftwork, thanks Jo.
The phrase I found is 'Fillet of a Fenny Snake'
I love your Halloween display Jo. Just finished visiting all the blogs on the Hop, some really great stitching to be seen and great fun as always. The mystery phrase is: Fillet of a fenny snake. Hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween.
How did you guess what I made for dinner???
Fillet of a fenny snake (in the cauldron boil and bake)
Not really - we had stuffed peppers, but I did cut little jack o' lantern faces into them
You should know better than quoting Shakespeare, I'd guessed it by FIL
Love your Hallowe'en display by the way
You never cease to amaze me. I love participating in your wonderful blog hops. The phrase is "Fillet of a Fenny Snake". Which I had to look up. So much fun. I had heard of it before and didn't remember. I really enjoyed participating in this great hop.
Great fun as always, I struggle a lot to find the phrase as for me it's first 19 letters before becoming words! Thank you for this blog hop. xxx
Here I am with : Fillet of a fenny snake. I first find snake then a fenny (alone!). Struggling with fill or let of. Thanks to internet fillet was the right word and shame on DD2 who is visiting us, big HP fan didn't recognize the recipe. Thanks for the blog hop. xxx
Wow! What a great bunch of Halloween pieces you've stitched, Jo! I didn't make it to all of the blogs, but did leave a comment on quite a few :) Hope you had a great Halloween!
Fillet of fenny snake! I think I got it right this time ...
Thanks again for hosting, it's always a fun event.
Sigh, did I type "Fillet of fenny snake" or "fillet of A fenny snake"? It's the latter that's correct. Someday I'll get the knack of this ...
wonderful!!
Hi Jo
My answer is Fillet of a Fenny Snake. thanks for the fun hugs
I have so enjoyed this blog hop to see and be inspired by everyone's work. And unpuzzle the puzzle. Fillet of fenny snake!
Fillet of A Fenny Snake - whee love that it was known to be mentioned in Harry Potter too. Thanks Jo, great job as usual with the Halloween Blog Hop
xo Alicia
Thanks for organising this Jo. It's been fun seeing everyone's Halloween stitching.
The mystery phrase is:
Fillet of a fenny snake.
At school we studied Macbeth for 'O' level English.
HI Jo, I have the phrase and I am pretty sure it is right this time! "Fillet of a Fenny Snake" from Macbeth Act IV, scene 1. Yay!
Thanks for arranging the blog hop. It took me a while to figure out what the letters meant! I think the phrase is: fillet of a fenny snake. I even had to look up fenny snake to make sure it existed as I didn't recall hearing it before the hop. x
I was thinking of saying that I don't want to take part in the giveaway because I had won one of the gifts last year but I so enjoyed stitching the Halloween Happiness all year long that I admit I'd love to stitch more of Halloween in the year to come, too. So count me in after all. Thanks for sending the pattern last year it is so lovely! And thanks for the thread too.
So here is the phrase. I couldn't believe what it meant as I found it so difficult to figure out myself. It is Fillet of a fenny snake. I really didn't know what fenny means!LOL!
Anyway I loved all this so hope you will organise it again.

Hooray for another fun hop! How much did your wish list grow? And what sits on top of the H in your boxes photo?
As for the phrase, it's totally "Roasted tail of a llama" this year. That would totally make a cauldron boil and bubble and cause the llama quite a bit of trouble.
Just in case that's not quite right, my second guess is "Fillet of a fenny snake". Would love to be counted in the drawing!
Wait, have I seen that trio before? I love it!
Ok, I had to look that phrase up, high school English was a really long time ago.
"Fillet of a fenny snake", yuck! But a great phrase for Halloween.
Filet of a Fenny Snake!
Great hop again Jo, thank you for hosting and glad I managed to get my act together to join in. :)
I love these blog hops - thank you as always for organising it Jo! Off hopping I go x
I'm sorry I wasn't able to participate this year, but I'm now ready for next year. Thanks for all the hosting you do! My guess is "Fillet of a Fenny Snake."
Wow, that was a tough one! I couldn't really make sense of it until I found the very last letter, but I think 'Fillet of a Fenny Snake' is the mystery phrase.
I love your Halloween display. And I finally got to visit all the blogs and collect the letters. I may be late but I think the mystery phrase is
Fillet of a Fenny Snake. A nice phrase, lol.
