February TUSAL

Tusal

It's TUSAL time again!  For those of you new to blogging, the TUSAL is a project run by Daffycat, click on the button on the right hand bar for more details.

Here is my ORTS jar posing with the current stitching projects:

The one on the left is Nora Corbett's C, shown here with all the plain cross stitching done and the backstitch about to be commenced.  I ordered all the beads and Kreinik for all four today, so this one should be done by the end of the week.  Roughly 24 days spent on her in total, which means I should just about be able to complete all three by the middle of the Easter holidays!

Here is the piece on the left, Strawberry Sampler by The Sampler House.  I am focusing on the DMC colours and will add the Perle at the end.  Some of those are pulled threads so I like to have the plain stitching all complete.

Short post today, I have lots of blogs to read and emails to answer!

Finally, the last call for the Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop which will be taking place on Valentine's Day.  Full details can be found on this post but basically you email me a photo of something suitable for a lovely friend and I send you a photo from a mystery friend which you post on your blog to wait for your Secret Stitching Sweetheart to find you from the list of participants on my blog.  Have a look at last year's Hop to see how it all worked:

  8. You made some great progress on both your projects, Jo. This band sampler is growing so nicely and I'm very curious to see the bands with the specialty stitches. And wow, that little fairy has all the cross stitches she needs. And the beads will add to her beauty.
