Finally Fully Finishing Fun for December

FFG SAL - 10th of each month

Hosted by Rachel the Ten Hour Stitcher

This SAL is designed to motivate us all to do something with that box of Finished pieces instead of just storing them under the bed.  We will all be linking up on Rachel's blog on or after the 10th of each month (10 Hour Stitcher - 10th of the month).

First up are two small designs I forgot to include in my Smalls post for November:

On the left we have Just Nan's Mitten Men:

And on the right, Just Nan's Snow Faces:

This is from the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Special 2019 and was the September choice for the JCS FB group.  Silvery Lace Snowflake from Works by ABC.   Or Golden Lace Ornament as it now is:

The backing fabric is from a sample book from a fabric shop.  Several years back I acquired some old sample books to use as backing fabrics.  I intend to use more of them, rather than just keep them in a cupboard.

Here it is fully finished into an ornament.  The colours are more accurate in the first photo.

Next, a very large finish and rather delayed as the stitching was completed in 2018!

Here's a little video to see it in more detail:

Finally, a recap of the year of FFO'ing:

January - 2 scrapbook pages
February - 2 framed pieces
March - 1 pillow ornament and 2 framed pieces
April - 1 Birthday card
May - 3 scrapbook pages and 1 framed piece
June - 1 scrapbook page and 1 framed piece
July - 1 softbook
August - 3 scrapbook pages
September - 5 scrapbook pages, 1 folding book and a framed piece
October - 1 large framed piece and 2 scrapbook pages
November - 5 scrapbook pages, a sign, a mouse, a scissor roll and a multi-frame
December - 1 scrapbook page, 1 pillow ornament and 1 large framed piece

With 22 pages, scrapbooking was definitely the top finishing choice this year!

  4. Thanks for joining in the FFG SAL again this month, and indeed every month this year! Twelve Days is obviously your piece of the month, especially as it's ready in time for Christmas, but everything looks fantastic. Hope you've still got enough in your box-under-the-bed or finishes planned for next year to keep contributing! ;)
