So the first day in February was spent working on my Christmas piece; the 12 Days of Christmas by JBW. Most of the borders have been done now so it doesn't take long to fill the motifs in. Or it wouldn't, if the frog didn't visit! I stitched the darker yellow twice because I had got the red ribbon wrong.

The next three days were spent on my Hallowe'en piece; the Scary Apothecary series by Hands on Design. I have put three of these in my "20 in '20" list this year but if I finish all three I might add an extra one. This is Bat Balm:

After that I moved on to the Discworld Mappe by Lyndisfarne Designs. I finished the banner at the bottom of the left hand corner and then moved across to the landmass in the centre of the piece. I plan to stitch the coast for the whole of page 14 and then see if I can fill it all in this month. My goal is a page a month this year and this one is 60% full coverage.

Finally, if you signed up for my Secret Sweetheart Stitching Blog Hop, I need the photos by 10th February. If you haven't signed up yet, there is still time! Send me an email and I'll add you to the list.
Hi Jo, Bat Balm is looking good, as is Discworld, of course and the JBW design is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work on everything! I will get my picture mailed to you tomorrow. Love the fabric for the Bat Balm piece.
ReplyDeleteFab fabric for Bat Balm, very different.
ReplyDeleteI love what you're stitching on.The JBW piece sure is cute. Thanks for the reminder about the hop pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to see how all the designs progress!
ReplyDeleteThe mappe looks awesome Jo. Love Bat Balm. I must get this series.

As always great progress of beautiful stitching from you Jo. Have a great week. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
ReplyDeleteLovely progress on all your SALs .
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
You have a nice variety of projects on the go, and you are making great progress on them!!
ReplyDeleteYou're moving right along on your many projects, Jo! Always fun to watch them grow :) Hope you weren't impacted by the awful storm.
ReplyDeleteYou are getting so much stitching done! I think I'm following a similar rotation...with SALs first, challenge pieces next and then free choice. So far it seems to be working! Disc world is so intricate, it's fun watching it come to life!!
ReplyDeleteHah, you're right - yellow turtle doves do look a little odd. They're cute, though! Your Halloween design looks great, as does the mappe.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like the bat balm!
ReplyDeleteEverything's looking good! Good luck with the Mappe this month, I seem to remember the continent is quite large.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar 'rotation' and find it works well for me too. It's satisfying to get the sort of 'compulsory' stitching out of the way first and then have the freedom of choice towards the end of the month. :)
