Here's my final ORTs jar of the year with my current projects:
Here's a close-up of Dracula's Castle by Dam Good Crafts:
stitched on 32 count Amorentia Belfast from Chromatic Alchemy
The other project is a new start "just because", it was the cover kit with last month's Cross Stitch Crazy magazine (issue 237). The design is by Emma Congdon of Stitchrovia:
stitched on 28 count Colonial Blue evenweave
We put our tree up at the weekend and I have a special area for my stitched ornies:
Most of them were received in previous years, except this one:
Anyone recognise it? Yes, it's a Denny's Angel! Gracie from Needles, Pins and Dragonflies has been tatting these this year and sending them out to her friends. It is a great honour and privilege to receive a Denny's Angel and I was really touched when I opened the card. Thank you Gracie.
I must be honest and say I have sent very few cards this year, and none overseas. The time ran away from me so maybe I will be sending Happy January cards instead. I have been sending the Jacquie Lawson e-cards so if you haven't had one of those yet, watch your inbox!
Finally, the Advent Calendar is going well again this year, lots of beautiful festive stitching and some great ideas for how to spend Boxing Day. We still have more doors to open, with some being double door days so keep checking back each to see the latest picture and link.
Your projects are great Jo. I love Denny's angel and the thought behind it. It is a gift that would be cherished for sure. I'm sending Jackie Lawson myself...the time totally got away from me too. RJ
ReplyDeleteI do love Dracula's Castle! Your tree is so pretty and ready for Christmas. I have really enjoyed the Advent calendar!
ReplyDeleteStill loving the Dracula design!
ReplyDeleteThe Emma Congdon is looking good too
Love your stitching. I think I will join the TUSAL next year. It is fun to see everyone's ort collection! And I am going to look at everyone's blog from the Advent Blog Hop. If I can get to the computer later with the college kids home!
ReplyDeleteYou have some pretty projects in the works, all those stitched ornaments on your tree look so sweet. Time did fly fast this month and I sent very few cards as well, looks like I will be sending New Years cards instead. Have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to receive a Denny's angel. :)
ReplyDeleteYour stitched ornaments are gorgeous! Love that angel you received too - so pretty!

So great for you to receive one of Denny's Angels from Gracie. I'm sure it will get a special place on your tree.
ReplyDeleteSo many orts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea to put your stitched ornaments together on your tree - they look great!
Great progress. Great new start. Love your ornaments. Your new one is too pretty indeed. The blog hop as always was very fun. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteDenny's Angel looks perfect on your tree.
ReplyDeleteA Denny's Angel! How special, I'm sure it will have a place of honour in your tree for years to come. Thank you very much for your ecard - I didn't get any card writing done this year myself, I was even more busy than usual. Hopefully the new year will start of better!
