Happy 2nd Blogaversary to me!
I couldn't find a photo of me and my cake, but this is my 2nd Birthday present, my trike. Each one of those wheels was a different bright colour. I hadn't forgotten my skirt either, this was the height of the swinging 60s and skirts really were that short!
While I think of it - Happy Birthday to Calamity Jr and Susan Yellow Flower Meadow too.

WOW
Back when I started this blog I was stitching Mirabilia's Bluebeard's Mermaid and the Dark Alphabet from A Note of Friendship. A year later my Mermaid was finished and framed, the Dark Alphabet was close to completion too. So far so good! My only other WIP from the beginning of the blog is now officially a UFO, an Art Nouveau Head stitched on aida.
My WIPS from one year ago are slightly more embarassing, Green Goddess and My Lovely Sewing Tools are still unfinished, but on the "13 in '13" list for this year.
So, my questions for my Blogaversary Giveaway are -
What were you stitching on last Easter?
And is it finished yet? A WIP or a UFO?
Obviously if you have a blog this is an easy one to look up, but don't worry if you don't have one. Just have a think back to last Easter, or look at your photos from then and see what you can work out. After all, if you don't have proof, it's not like I can say "you made that up!" This is just for fun LOL.
A winner will be picked next Sunday 14th April and they will get a small something. Not the Small Boy, you can't post livestock as I'm always telling the Large Boy when he suggests it!
The other big announcement, the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop winner will be coming later this week! I'm too old for too much excitement in one post LOL. Besides, I'm giving you until midnight BST to enter the competition, this is your final chance.
Finally, Sunday was Finishing Day again. Funny how Sundays often seem just right for a little sewing. I found the backing fabric for the March JB cat and make him into a little ornie, and to sit next to him, the April cat. Although Easter was in March this year, it is more often in April so I went for a Chocolate Cat!

And all four together:

ReplyDeleteJulie
Happy blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteLast year at this time, I was stitching workbaskets cat and mouse. The cat is finished but I have yet to finish the mouse. lol
Happy Blogiversary. Your cats are delightful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary Jo. I would love to be entered in your giveaway. Easter Sunday I would have been working on one of the borders for Boo Club. I am still working on it so it is a WIP.
ReplyDeleteLove your little finished kitty ornaments.
Linda
Last Easter was stitching some Homespun Elegance pieces, and no, they are not all finished (yet) One more to stitch.
ReplyDeleteVery cute finishes! The charms are perfect. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Well, last April I showed 6 things on my blog and four of them are finished. The other 2 are not even in my current rotation but are still on my WIP list so will eventually have their chance in the rotation.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary Jo and you were a cute little girl :) hmmm what was i working on last easter? Blackberry welcome by sweetheart tree - finished - Quaker diamonds by Rosewood Manor - im calling it a wip even though its been a year since i last touched it, lol!
ReplyDeleteLove the kitties! Last Easter I was stitching on a Boyd's Bear Firefighter. I will confess, it was started when my small boy was a small boy. He is 18 now. It is still not complete. Some day...LOL
ReplyDeleteDarn it, I meant to add Happy Blogaversary and I am so glad you have one, because *I* love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary! Last year at this time I was stitching Joan Elliot's Summer Fairy, my very first Joan Elliot. I did finish her, but she is patiently waiting to be framed while I stitch up the other fairies in the series. Hopefully by this time next year!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary! Such a sweet photo of you:)
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd year Blogaversary to you!
ReplyDeleteWow love the photo of you on your tricycle. Darling. I have photographed what I stitched for this last Easter. Just finished it 2 days ago:) Your monthly cat's are so very cute. I love how you are stitching them and adding the charms.
love Annette
Happy blogaversary Jo - and I love the picture of 2 year old you with her new trike :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking back on my blog in April last year I was stitching on Rules for Life which is currently a UFO, Sleeping Beauty's Castle which is a WIP and a baby sampler which I have finished :-) 1 out of 3 isn't too bad - but that's only the projects I talked about in April!!
Happy Blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I looked up this time last year on my blog: apparently, I was furiously knitting wee animals for friends` kids at the time, plus made a Mr. Bean-style teddy for my son`s Easter surprise. The only stitching I could find around that time was a small(ish) label for a scrapbook I made for my Gran`s birthday.
I love your ornies, I think they look gorgeous and the charms are perfect for each month. Can`t wait to see the next ones! xx
Happy blogoversary to you Jo!!
ReplyDeleteLast Easter(ish) time I was finishing off Garden Shed and getting it framed. Wow, I didn't realise it had been a year! I still smile every time I was past it.
Here's to many more years of enjoying your blog :)
Happy blogaversary, Jo! You look so sweet in the photo :) those cats, all lined up, are looking very nice!
ReplyDeletePls do count me in your giveaway . Last year, around this time, I started working on sofa covers . I completed stitching on one at that time and four are still in WIP status. I must start the remaining ones soon.
Happy anniversary, Jo. Last Easter I did 3 little ornaments. They are all finished and this year I did so many more than the last year. I do enjoy finishing some of them after easter.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day
LOve
Judith
Happy Blogoversary Jo.
ReplyDeleteThe cats looks super all together like that, well done.
According to the blog, last Easter, i'd stitched a Christmas ornament, a birthday card for my SIL's mum, and Shores was the biggie on the frame. Yes, it's still there but almost complete now i am on Block 11. I also had LHN The Rain Fell on the frame and that now sits in my 'to finish off' drawer.
Happy blogoversary! Jo
ReplyDeleteLove the cats in the different colors
I stitched Prairie Schooler bunnies and yes they did get finished
Oh yeah, love the pic of you, your so adorable
Happy Blogversary Jo:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary, Jo! At Eastertime last year I was in the middle of Alessandra Adelaide's CT13 cross stitch design and Needle Delights Originals' Rainforest Revisited canvaswork piece. I'm happy to say that both are finished and framed.
ReplyDeleteWow, is it two years already? Congrats, and doesn't time just fly. As always, I had lots of projects on the go last Easter - I'd just picked up the Marjorie Massey mono on checked linen, which I finished at the end of the year; BBD's Midnight Watch got finished too in 2012; and so did Madame Chantilly's Polka Dot Matrioskas. Châtelaine's Spring Knotgarden, on the other hand, is being very much neglected...
ReplyDeleteOh what a sweet pic of a sweet little girl! Happy blogosvary or whatever it is!
ReplyDeleteThis time last year I was frantically stitching away on a wedding gift for my two friends, they were away in Florida for the wedding. I could not make it due to money restrictions at the time so instead was sat in Scotland at the in laws desperately trying to get it finished...it only ended up been 2 months late!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary! :)
Congratulations on your Blogaversary..a very happy one :)
ReplyDeletehugs x
Happy Blogaversary! I love the photo of you with your trike! Too precious. Last Easter I was stitching on my Peace Ornament, which I finished & my linen bunny sampler, which is still a WIP.

Happy 2nd Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteI think I was stitching March Hares last Easter. The design was from a UK magazine!
Love your cats, they are cute!
Hugs,
Happy Blogaversary
ReplyDeleteLast Easter I worked on 4 Seasons Sampler on Good Friday which is now finished. I finished off a beaded sunflower panel and ended Easter weekend with a finish on Scary Book which was my weekend project at the time.
Happy Blogoversary! Those cats look wonderful all together.
ReplyDeleteI checked back, this time last year I was stitching a Year of the Dragon ornament for Nim
Woo hoo! What an achievement over the 2 years. I thoroughly love your blog. Love the cute photo of you too. The question is easy. I was stitching on my Marjolein Bastin English sampler which is now finished but not framed (naughty me!).
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Last Eastertime I was stitching a little ditty called Spring Bunnies, a design by Deb at Pilgrims & Pioneers Stitches. I stitched this, in fact, for your Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop! Needless to say, it is finished : )
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteI found you through Parsley.
Happy blogeversay and I love that photo.
Your stitching is lovely and your monthly cat finishes are so very sweet.
Happy Blogiversary :)
ReplyDeleteLast Easter I was stitching on my Scottish Sampler & Anniversary Roses, neither of which are finished :/
Your cat pillows are lovely
Happy blogiversary!! I can tell you without looking that whatever I was stitching last Easter isn't finished, LOL!! Oh wait...I actually DID finish Random Thoughts. Hmmm, that doesn't sound like me, does it?? After checking with the blog, it appears I was also stitching Les Rubans, which is DEFINITELY not finished. Looks like I also started a sweater the next weekend (still not done), even though I already had one on the needles (still not done)...yeah. That sounds more like me!
ReplyDeleteI love the monthly cats!
I just love the little charms on your cats. I have to say that I don't think I was even stitching last Easter. I was making loops in yarn though. Congrats on 2 years.
ReplyDeleteReally, I'm supposed to remember last year? I can barely remember last week! I think it was my Trick or Treat Fairy and I just confirmed it - how sad! I'm so close to being done...
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary, woo hoo! I love your cats, the colours and charms are just perfect.
Happy Blogaversary! :) Last Easter I was stitching Richard Armitage - and finished him around this time, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely cats, too!
Hi Jo, Great question and I looked up my post from last Easter and oh my goodness, I was stitching Cinderella and guess what? She is still a WIP! lol!
ReplyDeleteLove your cats done in the different colours for each month - now that has given me yet another idea for something new to start as I have that pattern. lol!
Love to you and yours,
hugs, Kaye
Happy blogoversary! Last year around Easter I was working on one smalls and ask a design called Traditional Sampler which was a design from one of my yahoo groups. And yes! I did knish it! It's still not framed, but ....Anyway, I'd love a chance in your giveaway ! thanks!
